Lucha Future is a brand new spectacular event bursting with heroism and villainy, masked athleticism, virtuosity and the uniquely Mexican high-flying take on free wrestling – Lucha Libre.

Lucha Future is an ALL NEW SHOW brought to you by the people behind 2008’s Lucha Libre London and brings back the favourite luchadores of that season, including the leader of the evil rudos Blue Demon Jr, El Paso’s favourite lip-locking, exotico (cross-dressing) wrestler Cassandro and the acrobatic Magno. Lucha Future then shakes them up with a new younger, harder, faster team of gravity beaters, a further dirty dozen of Mexico’s new breed of luchador, with live music and the promise of apocalyptic action. More exotic names to follow.

THE MIGHT OF MEXICO CHALLENGES BBC TV’S TOP GEAR PRESENTERS

Recent comments from BBC TV’s Top Gear presenters regarding Mexico and its people have been responded to by the stars of Mexico’s finest, Lucha Future. The legendary Queen of the Ring, Cassandro, has challenged Clarkson, Hammond and May to a bout in the ring at London’s Roundhouse: “If they want to know what Mexico is really like, I’ll let them know in 5 minutes and it will take only one Mexican against the three of them using only junior moves”.

The Mexican-baiting BBC threesome can put their arms and legs where their mouths are – if they dare!

Flying through the air with the greatest of ease, those magnificent Mexican men in their leotards and latex will be putting the hurt on each other in ways that you don’t see outside of a tussle between Tom and Jerry. Gravity-defying feats of agility and slapstick with extra pan stick (Cassandro makes Lily Savage look like Dame Edna Everage).

To add yet more spice to the mix live music will be served up courtesy of Tijuana’s Bostich & Fussible (Nortec Collective) and their Mexican gumbo of Norteño, electronica and techno. Their new album ‘Nortec Collective Presents: Bostich + Fussible – Bulevar 2000’ will be released in the UK on June 6 by Because Music

‘Fat and Funky percussion and brass soundclash showcasing the sound of Norteno-Techno’. ‘Viva Mextronica’ DJ Magazine

What The Media Said about Lucha Libre London in 2008:

“Forget the bloated perma-mulleted world of WWE wrestling, with its over-hyped contests and staged soap opera. The most exciting form of the sport on the planet is from Mexico. Where else will you find fighting midgets, feuding transvestites and masked muscle men, all engaging in a ferocious mix of acrobatics and showmanship.” Arena

“A costume drama for grapple fans.” The Independent

“The wrestlers – all genuine athletes with some impressively acrobatic moves – seemed to relish the opportunity of showcasing their skills to a new audience, and I for one hope they return to these shores again soon.” The Sun Online

“Muscle men with directional outfits. What could be better?” Gay Times

“It’s always wise to expect the unexpected from The Roundhouse, but this time they’ve surpassed themselves.” Ham & High

“It’s an astonishing feast of laughs and it’s sweeping the planet.” Daily Sport

“An incredible night.” Bizarre

“Pure masters of the Art.” Daily Star

“Ladies and gentlemen, senors and senoritas, the hour of masked phantoms, acrobatic heroics and lycra posturing is upon us! All hail the luchadores!” Camden New Journal

Additional Information:

Without further ado ladies and gentleman… ready your eyes for they will pop, loosen your jaws for they will drop, get down on your knees and pray for it never to stop…

Lucha Future is staged in a specially constructed circular arena featuring ringside and balcony seats amongst the seating options. The fun begins the moment you enter the Luchadrome with live music, special films and animations introducing the luchadores and themed food and drink.

Lucha Future takes you on an exhilarating, foot-stamping, air-punching journey to the centre of a life-affirming struggle where rudos fight tecnicos and where good does not always triumph over evil. Altogether ¡Estupendamente!
